Valley Center Short Sale Help now has the Short Sale and Foreclosure Resource Certification (SFR) from the National Association of Realtors.
SFR is the only Short Sale and Foreclosure certification sponsored by the NAR, and it gives sellers and buyers assurance they are working with a trained professional Realtor.
Certifications are important, and equally important is the organization that creates and validates the certification.
The National Association of Realtors is the largest, oldest, and most recognized industry standards group in the United States. They are the source for professional standards, educational certification, and industry news for the Real Estate Industry, so it only makes sense that the Certification they designed and endorse would be the one buyers and sellers want to see from their agent.
One important thing to note is the “Resource” portion of the SFR designation. Many companies offer training in the nuts and bolts of a short sale transaction, but the NAR wanted to go farther, and include more aspects of professional representation and education for buyers and sellers. Clients considering short sale or foreclosure transactions need more information that the normal buyers or sellers. And this is just where this designation comes into force.
My goal has always been the same…provide my clients with the highest quality representation, and look out for their interests first, last, and always. When I learned about this designation it was easy to see the value that it brings to a transaction, and how it gives clients the assurance that I have additional training and know how to advise them…not just how to sell a short sale.
